Routes to Summer: A Community Hike & Trail Run + Coffee Hour

Join us on Saturday, August 2nd for a Community Hike — Your time to exhale and head out for a community hike through the forested trails of Mont Royal. This is a beginner-and kid friendly, no-pressure space to move your body, meet new people, and enjoy the outdoors—whether you’re running, hiking, or somewhere in between.

What to Wear

Dressing smart means dressing in layers—the key to comfort in all seasons. Here’s your guide for spring and summer events:

Spring/Summer Layering System (Hikes, Outdoor Adventures, etc.)

• Base Layer: Sweat-wicking T-shirt or tank top (avoid cotton)

• Mid Layer: Light fleece or synthetic long-sleeve shirt

• Outer Layer: Lightweight windbreaker or packable rain jacket

• Bottoms: Breathable hiking pants, athletic shorts, or leggings

• Footwear: Trail runners, hiking boots, or sport sandals
