BLK on the slopes
BLK WinterFest is heading to Les Sommets. Whether you’re bringing the kids, rolling solo, inviting the entire group chat, or down to make a new friend, there’s a winter adventure for you (ages 5 and up).
BLK WinterFest is all about coming together to make new memories in winter together.
Come take on the slopes for a day of ski and snowboarding fun, as we reimagine what it means to be Black in winter. (Ages 5+)
Join a guided lesson for beginner and intermediate riders, or take on the mountain on your own, with our certified guides nearby.
Want to skip the slopes? Grab a tube and catch the vibes.
No lessons, no pressure, just fun. Tubing lets you enjoy some winter bliss with high-speed lanes, music, and runs under the lights. (Ages 5+ with adult supervision)
We’re celebrating winter as only we can, and bringing Black joy to the slopes.
NOTE: If you’re already comfortable on the mountain, join Community Riders Guiding. Choose your trail, from beginner to advanced, and we’ll pair you with a guide so you can ride freely, feel supported, and make the most of every run.

What to Wear
It’s a mountain day, so be sure to layer up. The weather changes fast.
3-Layer System:
Base: Long-sleeve dry-fit or merino wool
Mid: Fleece or breathable sweater
Outer: Waterproof or insulated jacket
Plus:
Snow pants
Waterproof or warm gloves/mittens (Tip: mittens are warmer)
Warm hat (that can fit under a helmet)
Neck warmer or balaclava
For Skiers/Snowboarders:
Knee-high ski socks (merino wool recommended)
Ski goggles or sunglasses
What to Pack:
Extra gloves & socks
Light backpack or hip pack
Water bottle & healthy snack/s
Hand warmers
Phone/camera for photos & your favorite playlist
Optional: extra lunch & snacks
